Things I did!

Life as a marcher!

One of the proudest things I have done in life is to be a cowboy. I have been in band for 7 years and 4 years in marching band. It is a little nerdy, but I enjoyed my days in band with all my friends. We placed 5th in states which was the greatest feeling ever, and a nice way to graduate from high school.

Due to being part of such a nice group I also got to visit many new places. We went to New York and performed at CARNEGIE HALL! That was the coolest thing ever. I also got to go to Washington D.C. where I enjoyed sightseeing with my friends. Being in band during High School was an experience I will never forget.

Volunteering :

  • I went to Big Cat Rescue and helped them clean out cages that will become homes to many abused animals. Many that were kept captive without any sunlight and food.
  • I went to many animal rescue organizations that were in need of volunteers, that assisted many abandoned cats and dogs in finding homes, or even foster homes. This experience showed me another side of life that I was blinded from.
  • I volunteered at Relay For Life which was a cause pursuing to help fundraise money for people who were diagnosed with cancer.

HCC:

  • Since being at HCC, I have volunteered at adopt-the-road.
  • Joined the engineering club.
  • Was on the Dean’s List for fall 2018
